this is an Institution in town and used to be a very rustic, almost pub-style Restaurant. now it has a touch of "Bourgeoisie" with ist white table cloths and the menu oriented towards French cuisine. to make things simple: the Food is great and with...rather big servings! especiialy the foie gras, the Beef and dessert were excellent and the cheese platter is outstanding value for Money. the staff, however, does somehow not quite fit the Ambiente of the dishes still rather rustic! and the choice of open wines is very, very disappointing for a quality Restaurant. all in all a pleasant experience but not sure we'll return because of the waiter...

this is an institution in the city and used to be a very rustic, almost pub-style restaurant. now it has a hauch of bourgeoisie with white table cloth and the menu is oriented towards the French cuisine. to make the dinge easy: eating is great and with...not great portions! especiialy the foie gras, the bark and dessert were excellent and the cheese plate is excellent value for money. the staff somehow doesn't fit the ambiente of the dishes still quite rustic! and the selection of open weine is very, very disappointing for a quality restaurant. all in all a pleasant experience, but not sure that we are back because the waiter.

and that is exactly what we have done. we went to fribourg to make a visit, and while we went through the old town that was led through this restaurant that seemed very busy. when it was a bit early, we went down to the river and enjoyed the... miraculous old architecture, then came back to the hill and went to lunch. we had the menudo jour that was beautiful, and the main course was forelle, presented with a beautiful sauce with rice and vegetables. we both enjoyed the meal very much and would highly recommend it.

...and this is exactly what we did. We went to Fribourg for a visit, and while walking through the old town passed by this restaurant, which seemed very busy. As it was a little early we went on down to the river and enjoyed the...wonderful old architecture, then came back up the hill and went in for lunch. We had the menudo jour, which was lovely, and the main course was trout, presented with a lovely sauce with rice and vegetables. We both very much enjoyed the meal, and would highly recommend it. Nos amis nous ont offert un bon de 250 CHF , ceci en Juin 2022. Nous sommes victimes d’arnaque car les propriétaires devaient savoir qu’ils ferment définitivement l’établissement. Honteux et malhonnête du couple Teufel

Was there for a business dinner with a customer. Very good and sympathetic restaurant. I took the fish soup which reminds me at the cote azure! I really can recommend it!
