the atmosphere in the ckerts is simply unbeatable: unique location withtem in the river, pleasant furnishings, tasteful ambiente, beautiful presentation of the foods. Unfortunately, the opposite is the content: the foods are often little, do not really taste and are nothing extraordinary - as you would suspect in the ambiente and the price. I still go occasionally - just to enjoy the atmosphere. drink a coffee and eat a piece of cake - also this was unfortunately last in the core still frozen. you could make more of this local gem.
we were five at the farm last night. during the reservation we asked for a table suitable for disabled persons. we got a table on the thought race, access only on the stairs! we had hoped for quality in the needy selection of feeds. we were very disappointed. neither the steak, nor the kalbsragout, or the maish-like could convince. the worst it has met our vegetarian, its three mini falafle were not recommended by taste.Price in the upper class but at the quality of the food, the look could not save any more.
otherwise our starting point in bamberg when it comes to eating were once again there, as the location at the river is really nice. However, we are no longer finding value for money. for 16 euro maish chicken with a few kartoffels - sweet and manageable on the teller. must not be. the flame cakes were not bad, but the combination with the sweet we found too lashing. the requested pfeffer has not really helped.
Went to Eckerts for an evening meal. At first the service was good but after a while the waitress stopped showing up so it was not possible to order anything more to drink or eat. All other guest got bread to their meal we where not offered any. Small thing one might think but makes the overall experience of the restaurang poor. Hopefully they can improve. Location was very nice and the food typically german.

we were offered on a Sunday afternoon with the family here.- great location on/over the fluffy, beautiful location, centrally located - dear service, unfortunately were forgotten two drinks.- eating is good, the cakes and flammkuchen we did not try, but they also looked tasty.- what we found original: every Sunday a changing Sunday will not pass.
wonderful restaurant over (!) the regnitz, which is out of one. modern ambiente, without being lifted.The food was also good and the drinks excellent (clear: beer in bamberg).-: very friendly service.

after a long time again a visit. the pricing is no longer comprehensible. only as an example, the carving was much too small for the price and quality.

the conversion to vegetarian/vegane feeds very good to the bistro! we enjoyed our eating "in the river" at the ahr very much.
