We actually only stopped in while hiking down the mountain, just to use the restroom. It smelled so wonderful in the front foyer that I went back outside to get my wife to bring her in. We decided to see what the restaurant was like, maybe get a snack - this place had not come up in our research of Rigi restaurants previously. We were seated right at the window, with a beautiful view. And then we were treated to one of the most incredible meals we've ever had. the aim of our class meeting was the rigi. unfortunately the farview was not too good, yet we enjoyed the common time. for lunch we decided for the restaurant in the hotel edelweiss. Clearly, as we were over 20 people, we have already agreed some weeks before on two menus proposed by the chef. the apéro on the beautiful terrace was perfectly organized, but petrus left us a bit in the engraving. the weeping were crippled. the philosophy is clear: only Swiss products! this is challenging, the kitchen sometimes has to find creative solutions. but that is what she does: we have enjoyed a tasting menu that is strongly based on criminal and mushrooms, all very pleasant, all very beautifully dressed and tastefully always surprising and interesting. I cannot forgive the highest score because the ambiente can clearly not withstand the quality of the feed, which harms the overall experience. white tablecloths must be simple with this quality (instead a dark brown coat was lying on the table, little appetizing. but that should be easy to fix.
rather unhope we have landed for dinner in a noble white. eating was good but not excellent. especially the service did not correspond to what we would have expected in this yet upscale price class. repeatedly, the service power for choice, for a tee or for announcing but still missing items could not give us any information. "I have to ask in the kitchen" remained without any feedback, "the chef comes and tells them what tees we offer" did not come despite repeated demand - a rather disappointing experience. We stayed at the hotel and had 2 dinners. The selection of the dishes was very limited, especially because they presented us only one of the two menu cards on the first evening. The food was good, the portions very small and the prices very high. For me it was not worth the price considering the whole package with ambiance, service and presentation. For this price range I would expect more hospitality.
also on the remote staffelhöhe, the restaurant is directly accessible by the railway, the railway station is right in front. local products, whether sweet meat or the brand after it, everything is local from the Swiss and well processed.The portions are large, the rigi burger is good. the chefin had fun with us and we were served nicely. that makes it, that is important.
We visited the restaurant on a cold evening and was warmly welcomed by our host. The restaurant was cosy, homely and typical swiss. The service was good and the waiter very helpful in translating and explaining the menu. The veal and rosti was excellent. The salad portions are small but good. Lastly, this is Switzerland, so nothing is cheap!
we took the night in a noble white. great, very fine eating. the salat comes directly from the hotel's garden. many own bioproducts such as aprikosenf, herbal salt...Very friendly and attentive service. this evening was pure pleasure! we will surely come back!!! Reserva una mesa ahora
