As I’ve never been to Switzerland, I have no idea whether this restaurant is “authentic “ or whether it primarily caters to tourists. While there seemed to be many other tourists dining with us, I thought the food was excellent. We both had cordon bleu and they were outstanding. The vegetable and spatzle sides were very good as well. Service was top notch. All in all, this was an outstanding place for our first dinner here. Highly recommend.
Very nice staff, nice atmosphere and all dishes can be gluten-free! That convinced us. The GF Cordon Bleus were super tasty and so was the huge Rösti! The vegetable bouquet, on the other hand, was more expensive than the Rösti and was probably normal frozen vegetables, small bowl, nothing special. Then choose another side dish. But we would love to come back :
Had Cordon Bleu Classic lunch menu with fries, soup of the day and dessert. Soup was excellent. Unfortunately, the cordon bleu was only half full. Fries were strongly seasoned, but a bit oily. Chocolate cake was OK. I'm a little disappointed and will definitely not order cordon bleu a second time.
Ich war letzte Woche mit meinen Freunden wiedereinmal im Gifthüttli, die Cordon Bleus waren sehr fein wir hatten alle verschiedene Füllungen und der Service war genial, freundlich, aufmerksam und wir wurden rundum super betreut. 50 Personen zeitnah zu bedienen ist schon eine Herausforderung dann noch aufmerksam und freundlich zu sein ist top. Herzlichen Dank, der Abend war für die Gruppe ein tolles Erlebnis. Das Essen war super hat alles gepasst. Ich komme bestimmt wieder
Mit meiner Familie habe ich ein feines Abendessen genossen! Der Service war sehr freundlich. Das Essen war super gut, die Atmosphäre gemütlich! Das Cordonbleu excellent. Wir kommen sicher wieder.
Nice bar and restaurant. Good food in substantial portions. Swiss styled dishes are predominant. We tried a local wine too. Service was pleasant. Recommend.
