Restaurant Herrngarten Im Welcome Hotel Darmstadt

Very nice hotel. For 4 stars I expected better. Maybe I was just unlucky with my room. I had mold in the shower. That's a clear point deduction for me. Restaurant.. Ate very tasty tarte flambée.. but I personally didn't find the one waiter particularly exciting. I guess he wanted to be a bit funny... but it just backfired and wasn't well received by several people. Maybe he was just having a bad day, we all do. All in all... it was great Rooms: 3

This is not a 4 star standard!!! Never again. Rooms old and worn. Restaurant closed. (No notice on the homepage) Rooms: Furniture old and worn equipment spartan. Bathroom interior 4 stars?! A joke. Walkability: Located in the center Food drinks: Restaurant was closed. Breakfast was good, although the atmosphere, cleanliness and facilities in the breakfast restaurant were more like that of a 2 star seminar hotel. Rooms: 2

Very nice and cozy hotel a few bus stops away from the railway station, and in the middle of the city overlooking the Darmstadt University. Can highly recommend, I liked everything, and the breakfasts are delicious Rooms: Clean, good, carpet on the floors, TV set, wifi, phone in the room. Direkter Zugang vom Parkhaus zum Hotel; Raumgestaltung/Einrichtung und Service waren sehr gut; eine aufmerksame aber nie aufdringliche Bedienung; Abstriche: Weißwein war nicht kalt genug; das Essen war ok, aber nicht so, dass man diese Auswahl unbedingt wieder haben müsste.

I stay frequently at the Welcome. When I don't have the time to head out, this is the place I normally head too. Service is good. Ambiance is nice and the quality of food is good. There are always some vegetarian options which are very nice.

Though a bit institutional for dinner, Herrngarten puts on an outstanding breakfast buffet. The window views to the park are very enjoyable in the morning and mid-day. Service is excellent.

La cucina servita al ristorante è "internazionale". Questo vuol dire che potrete trovare accostamenti anche inaspettati ma allo stesso tempo piacevoli.

The restaurant is situated next to the city center, but in a quite area. I had a hamburger which was good.
