Managed to get a table after waiting a bit (cannot fault them for this). After sitting down, took fifteen minutes to get a waitress to take our order (again, it was full, so I can understand a wait). This was my first experience eating out in Germany, and it wasn't too bad, considering the reviews on TripAdvisor. After climbing around Killesberg, I was hungry, so we popped into this cafe. I hadn't researched restaurants in Stuttgart, as I expected us to be at the Cannstatter Volksfest (our hotel room wasn't ready when expected). We sat ourselves, after asking if we could, and it wasn't busy. The menu is in German, so there were only a few items I recognized, and ended up getting the spätzle with carmelized onions (not that I knew it came with onions at that point). Don't expect haute cuisine, but honest German food (schnitzel), salads, but also vegetarian options. Price/quality is good Also the second time we went there after a long trip...because we knew already where to find it, and didn't get disappointed (We visited Stuttgart twice as a stop on our journey)

Visited Killesberg over the weekend and decided to have lunch at the HohenCafe before walking around the park. We had a steak salad and schnitzel with fries. The food was good, service was quick and pleasant. The best part is the outside dining on a beautiful day.

Just a few meters from tennis event there is a great park called Hohen, with its restaurant Hohencafe. Enjoy the silence and views.
Excellent kitchen, very friendly and attentive staff, very nice atmosphere.
