Congratulations to the designer of the website! It looks so much better on the Internet than in reality. The restaurant is nice inside, the service was good and also the owner was present. The fish soup (small version) we selected as starters was still ok, but the nets were not: The fish was overcooked to eat very dry and was presented on a mountain of vegetables and two pieces of potatoes under the vegetables and the fish. We didn't feel good in the afternoon after we had eaten there. The most disappointing, however, was the presentation on the website and where you finally land: right next to an industrial area, looking at an old fireplace, some boats in the garden that were ready to water...
We had garlic bread as a starter: firstly, it was way too expensive. CHF 8. for a few slices of bread. It was an orange, indefinable spread which was gratinated with cheese. This is definitely not garlic bread. We ordered mixed fish crispy with salad. The crispy cookies were delicious, but the salad was delivered separately about 10 minutes beforehand. We asked what kind of salads they were. The waitress had no idea. We also said that we didn't want any zucchini, pepperoni or egg on it, please. The wish was not fulfilled...
Ever had whitefish liver? Me neither. Until today. You will be surprised. It is very tasty. This restaurant is very original and you shouldn't miss it if you like fresh fish from a real local fisherman. A must when you're in the Bodensee region. Be aware that it's not a bargain. But you can try apple cider called Möhlsaft with your fish. It's cheap and better than many wines. Excellent with a whole smoked fish... We will be back.
A very traditional and family restaurant, located on the edge of the small Altenrhein marina on the Bodensee lake. Delicious dishes, mainly fish (Egli, Felchen, etc. , which are the specialty of the house, served in the garden, in the shade of trees. Wonder.

A typical Swiss fish restaurant, perhaps the premises are a little dated, but excellent fish. You won't find it if you don't know. And if you might not go in. But that would be a shame. Prices are not exceptional (for Switzerland)
The staff is attentive and friendly, but the owner/chef is rude and would not come again for this reason. The atmosphere is ok, not too cozy. We weren't very convinced of the price/performance ratio either.
Beautiful place to stay outside by the lake. The salad was fresh and deliciously prepared. We really enjoyed the fish crispies. The portions were generous. We'd love to come back.
This place has an excellent reputation, so was rather surprised at the overall quality provided. That particular day, Murphy 's law applied to kitchen as well as service
