Like the majority of restaurants in St Cyprien (we've been regular visitors to St Cyprien for 30 years) the food is average at best....what sets this restaurant apart is the owner.She is not what you would call customer facing....what happened to me recently I think is a classic example.The owner was serving my wife who was sitting opposite me , when she put down the plate down she knocked over my wife's full glass of water which also hit mine too....the whole lot landed in my lap.Ok it wasnt wine or anything that stained but my lap and leg was soaked....not a single word of apology from the owner....she said nothing to me or to my wife....walked back to the rear and came back with a couple...
I have to start by saying I've been before and it's been great... but! Went tonight and ordered st Jacques gratin which is scallops. What arrived was cod. We ate most of it thinking perhaps it was a mix before working out there were no...scallops. When we questioned it we were told the manager had changed it. When we questioned the manager we were told it was because the meal was very expensive Perhaps the poor love thought we couldn't afford it but it would have been nice to have been asked beforehand. They knocked half the price off the meal but can't help feeling they thought we were too stupid/English to notice the difference and thought they would get away with it. Shame. I loved this p...
We visited here in August as a family. The food is very good and the staff friendly but the service is really slow. There were plenty of staff on duty so it suggests the kitchen can’t cope when it is busy. We saw people having...to ask to have their finished plates cleared. Our meal took hours and we had to ask repeatedly for drinks we had ordered. Overall this is not worth it, there are plenty of other restaurants at the port that will give you a better dining experience
Visited on October Very impressive restaurant capable of dealing with a large group. The menu was quite extensive and was well presented . My wife and I both ordered an assorted fish platter which was beautifully presented. I found the meal to be just...a little oilly. The dessert menu was very good and we both enjoyed dessert. Absolutely delicious seafood. Everything was cooked just perfectly. We had the mixed fish dishes and there was a great variety, from snails to striped prawns. Well served, good waiters, who spoke ir understood whatever languages. Close to the beach, main strip, easy to find. Don't bother trying other places- this is the true authentic experience. Yummy pink wine and the bill - ufff!!!! Great value for your euro!
We enjoyed a pleasant evening at this restaurant, it looks very modern, clean and inviting from the outside and we thought it might offer something slightly different to all the other restaurants around. There was a good choice on the menu but disappointingly very similar...to what all the other restaurants were offering too. Service was good, but nothing particularly outstanding to write about.
