'Hidden' in a beautiful park near the station, this restaurant can be out of sight for most of the non-locals. I went there spontaneously, between two TGV trains after visiting the online reviews. And I was thrilled. Obviously not gastronomic, but still excellent food... quality for very fair prices. The service staff is unusually older and very friendly and helpful. I chose the menu du Jour, consisting of a Parmesan crumb (with caramelized onions and tomatoes as an appetizer, and traditional pork cheek (super soft! with a potato gratin. Unfortunately, because the time has expired, I couldn't have the dessert. Overall an excellent restaurant in this price class, and certainly worth a stop.

We spent one night in Montélimar after in the pressure in one of the lively bars it was high season we looked for a good meal. I hadn't reserved a table we asked to give up when we came over this restaurant hidden in a park. Superb! The waiter brought us into the veranda, assisted us in the selection of our meal... my husband still talks about his delicious chorizo Calamari star...with many other bits he said...not sharing a mouthful! We had a wonderful meal, the cook was charming when he visited every table. We recommend this restaurant
We arrived without reservation shortly before the opening and were greeted by the very friendly observatory. We had presented a beautiful seafood dinner in a short order, very well cooked, beautifully presented and with a beautiful wine. Dessert was also well and very beautifully presented....The prices were reasonable and we thought it was a good value.

The location of this restaurant is lovely and the food was reasonably good. However, despite one friendly waitress the head waiter spoilt the experience. He was brusque (we speak French fluently) and tried to give us a more expensive wine than we ordered and charge...us for it. Not a restaurant I can recommend from my experience there.
