Busy busy and understaffed so I wondered it this is a family business keeping staff costs down.There are many tables inside and out to serve and the best things was that the restaurant is not inside the town but off a roundabout from the main stretch between Carcassonne and Revel.If you don't mind the wait the fare will be nice enough but also not the cheapest nor the most reliable.The lunch set menu of three courses was fairly pricey for a tzatziki that was like cucumber spaghetti with very strong brown fish bits - the merlu was much better but lacked sauce and I declined the chantilly on the fruit salade having seen it buryn the fruit at other tables nearby.Meat lovers seemed satisfied wit...
My wife and I have been visiting the restaurant off and on for a couple of years and the food has been excellent. Sadly we have just had a very disspointing lunch there: while my wife had a very good fish dish following some nice pate, I have had a terrible steak. i asked for medium rare and received meat that had barely seen a flame. I am a lover of very rare meat if it is rearely good, but if it is average it does need to be at the very least sealed on a very hot flame. While I pointed out the very very rare steak I received barely an acknowledgement and certainly no apology. As steak is such a fundamental dish to cook, the failure to cook one well does seem to indicate that La Four is not...
We stopped here for a meal on a Friday lunch time. There were outdoor tables available but we choose to sit at one of the indoor (air-con) tables. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. They offered a childrens menu at 8€ of sausage and potatoes with a dessert off the adults menu. There were other choices for the children but my 2 choose this. They loved it, a very fussy 10 year old cleared her plate! I had the Cassoulet menu, with foie gras starter and nougat glace dessert. It was delicious.
We went there the first time. I believe it has been recently reopened. Nice welcome, we got immediately the attention of the waitress and where asked if we liked an aperitif and some peanuts for nibbling where served.The menu has the usual selection of local food but it's presented in a nice way and was very tasty. Not big but good selection of wine. Very affordable. Good for couples or families.

My wife and I visited again for lunch and had an excellent meal. The chicken rillette was the best rillette I have ever eaten and I have consumed a lot over the years! I notice some people have complained about the speed of service; this is a family affair so just sit back and enjoy really good food with fresh ingredients.
A very nice address to Ariège. A choice of dishes made with finesse. Local dishes too. A wonderful welcome nothing to say will come back with certainty
