Bon accueil pour une soirée en couple, le choix entre terrasse et salle. A la carte ou menu. Pour nous menu complet à 39.Un apéritif au verre de vin accompagné par une petit cake salé. Une mise en bouche très agréable, foi gras ou saumon, Agneau ou sandre. Une petite pose nous est proposée, avant le chariot de fromage ou un vrai fromage blanc avec une bonne crème. Dessert maison excellent bien frais. Et un bon petit café accompagné par quelques gourmandises. la totale.Accompagné par du vin blanc au verre entre St Veran et un blanc Italien à découvrir.Pour un total de 106€. On reviendra.
This restaurant was recommended by colleagues and was very much worth visiting. Thanks to Bastian who discovered my English accent...or the bad attempt in French on my part...and seamlessly exchanged in English for me and was a great help during the meal....(On the way was the menu in English thanks, very appreciated). Food was great, the setting great! I loved the age and ambience of the place, the main beam of the ceiling is impressive! But... it was the most expensive 2 courses 2 coke meal I had!
I complained that the steak was tough and was not cooked to medium as I had ordered. The steak had been supplied to me on the plate cooked rare. I could not finish the steak. I was informed by the waiter that the chef said...that I didn't know what I was talking about and completely dismissed. The dish included a salad which was just lettuce. Nice restaurant, pity about the poor service and very expensive.

Un restaurant avec un charme désuet dans une petite ville sur les bords du Rhône, l emplacement n est pas exceptionnel, belle cuisine traditionnelle et service très compétent.Plats classiques mais très bien réalisés et copieux, carte des vins correct.Je ne sais pas si je retournerai dans la "magnifique" ville de Lagnieu mais si je dois y passer je m arrêterai à coup sûr au lion d'or!
Si vous voulez vivre un grand moment de gastronomie, rendez vous au Lion d'Or. Le propriétaire et le chef vous font partager leur passion de la cuisine. Les vins proposés sont juste parfaits (par exemple un blanc liquoreux corse avec le foie gras). Et que dire du plateau de fromage remis au goût du jour régulièrement. Un excellent moment.
Je confirme que ce restaurant est une super adresse. Très bon accueil, chaleureux et très bons conseils.Une cuisine très bien exécutée.Bref, un très bon rapport qualité prix, un super restaurant.
