Le Maxime - Reserva de mesa

Chose this by chance as it wasn't listed on top 50 that I printed off, and it was lovely. You could see the kitchen and the chef working and it was all very clean and efficient. Fish soup was fantastic and felt this restaurant was really good value for money.The service was great, and we visited it 3 times during our stay and every time it was lovely food. Very few tourists, it seemed to be the locals that ate there and that speak volumes. We had the 23 Euro menu and there was plenty of food and bread to fill you up. All desserts are home made by the chef and went down a treat, try the Tarte au fig!!

Traiteur Le Maxime is the new venture by the same family who owned the restaurant. It is a lovely place to shop and the whole family are very engaging and lovely people who appreciate your custom. They have a good range of wines and champagnes, top quality oils, mustards and goods from across France. The Traiteur part has excellent food cooked on the premises by the father, chef in the previous restaurant business and offers a good range of top quality French cuisine. Now in its third year, it goes from strength to strength. You won't be disappointed.

It was noon, the children were starving and the fridge was empty. A quick stop at the caterer where it was difficult to make a choice as the dishes were so appetizing. Mussels for adults, stuffed children, poultry with mushrooms and parmesan ravioli, everyone enjoyed it. Thank you Maxim!

This restaurant is now a delicatessen, same chef as when it operated as a restaurant. You can find a selection of readymade dishes everyday. Excellent quality.
