Restaurant le Montagnais

We had been told this was a place you could get a very good, basic meal. And that was correct. They are located on the main highway between Beaupre and Quebec City. We had gone by several times and they looked like they were packed....We finally got there when they were not quit so full. We each had a very good bowl of vegetable soup, tasted home made, and wplit a chicken dish. It was enough for the 2 of us. The service was good, the food was very good and the price was reasonable. What more can you ask for.

This is a place that serves good basic food, nothing fancy or gourmet about it, but you won't go hungry. To draw a comparison it's sort of like a Canadian version of a Ruby Tuesday's. Fairly solid selection of dishes to choose from, deserts displayed...in the counter when you enter, basic wine list, and reasonable prices that won't break the bank. Worth a stop if in the area, especially for a couple of days. Nice outdoor patio also if the weather is cooperating.

We have dined at this restaurant twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. The food was fresh and satisfying, all homemade. The lasagna with Caesar salad was a perfect meal after a day of skiing, and the breakfast consisted of delicious homemade crepes, waffles, and French toast with a variety of fresh fruit. We observed many locals dining here, and it's easy to see why. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Good, solid brunch. Large menu. Maybe a tad on the pricey side. However, if you are a coffee drinker, which I am, coffee comes with the food at no extra cost. Service was a little slow the first day, but it was great the rest...of the time. Still haven't figured out why they include lettuce and tomato for dishes that really don't need lettuce or tomato, but oh well. Reserva una mesa ahora

The restaurant was spotless and the staff were friendly and attentive. The dishes were served hot and promptly. The chicken and ribs were juicy and delicious, however the fries were a bit too thick. The pizza was tasty, but the crust was too soft. Overall, it was an average dining experience and not the best option for dinner.

There were multiple mistakes in my order and on the bill, and the waitress seemed uninterested. The owner was seen handling baked goods with his bare hands and playing a dangerous prank on a waitress. The kitchen was not clean and I even saw gray fuzzy material in the drain. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Surrounded by fast food places, it was a nice surprise to find this restaurant. Overlooking Ile D'Orleans, the menu accommodated everyone's particular tastes. Great salads. I tasted my friend's pasta, another's fish and chips. I had the hamburger. Free parking and right on the main...road back to Quebec City.

pour 10 days on the road and craved and received a basic breakfast of eggs, meat, potatoes, with toast. fit the bill perfectly with all that boiled to perfection.

Food was just ok. Boring menu. Dissapointed when the server brought out a roll/bun in a bag. Enjoyed the view.
