"From a first sight, this is not the most appealing restaurant of the town but wait... They have a great terrace hidden behind (open at night) which makes it a little gem. It is laid back, cosy and stylish at the same time!We had an aperitivo with original plates to share (good quality and big enough portions) and liked it so much we went back the next day for dinner on the front terrace. Food was simple but very good and you need to taste the desserts absolutely!"

We were lucky to get in as we hadn't booked as the couple two minutes later were turned away. This restaurant is just the place to be on a sunny day. The food is simple - salads, omelettes, croque monsieur, quiche etc but seems homemade, the portions are large and the food is tasty. There were five of us and we all had something different and everyone was happy with what they had. The lady serving us was friendly and helpful. With drinks, main course ( with extra chips), desserts ( with extra strawberries) we paid just over 20 euros each which was good value. If you do plan to eat here book before you go off to wander around the very pretty village or else you may miss out. Closing day is Thursday. Would definitely come back.

We ignored our Satnav on our drive south from Amboise - and aren't we glad we did because we came across this treasure of a village Angles sur L'Anglin. The sight of the cafe in the triangular village centre, basked in sunlight, was too good to miss so we parked up. We only had coffees but it was such a pleasant experience. Then we walked around and marvelled at the beauty of the village itself. Definitely worth a detour. This is just how I imagined spending my time on this trip.

Always helpful and foods always great so please only be influenced by this review if you're concerned about hygiene sickness.Had a dicky tummy after 2 previous visits but only minor, but this time (we think the salad) made one of our party really ill for 4/5 days, but luckily the baby didn't get it!! So don't eat the salad and such. But again I'd like to say great place but this level of severe vomitting and sickness needs to be resolved in case it spoils someone else's holiday.
