On Saturday, August 12, a rainy noon, passing through family ferns, hunger began to feel. equipped with a number of restaurant addresses located on tripadvisor, summer holidays prompted us to cross the door of an open sign and out of tourist labels by default. if the reasoning has already allowed us excellent surprises (this was the case of the restaurant on table in Saint-Benoît-des-Ondes), the experience of Saint-Leonard lacked ingredients of a good address: humanity and the friendliness of a restorer and his staff, the freshness of the dishes or products offered, the possibility of varying tastes and pleasures on a map, the cleanliness. At the entrance, the smell of the potato and the wood fire had to reassure us. the card also encourages any optimism: goat leaflets, cassoulet, duck, bone ham, skewer lamb litterarily open the appetite. The profusion of meats is unfortunately not associated with an abundance of accompaniments. the choice is left on variations of potato: fries, crushed or in the oven, the vegetables do not exist in Saint-Leonard. unwelcome, particularly in the context of a diabetic diet (personal cases) or not very much appreciated potatoes. Let's start on a salad supplement and a duck canteen, a daily menu and a homemade cassoulet. Let's get it. Doesn't a cover look clean? (dishwashers can leave traces, let's admit) remarks made to the staff. has the image of the exchanges to follow, not a word or a smile is communicated. the covers change in a silent drought, ready to make us feel the inclination to work in restoration. the only entry ordered, the famous leafy, enters to convince us of our dishes in order. the tenderness of the dough is absent for a cutting recalling the products purchased in the trade or even frozen. in our neighbors' plate, the square leafy, and its two salad leaves, seem to be normal, perfectly similar. the opening on appetite begins badly to commit to the conquest of the "homemade" label or our appetite in itself. the fate of apricot pie on the almonds of the same menu of the day will confirm a similar impression: an unrealized part of the day (if so, difficult to explain the thickness of the paste similar to the desserts of large surface). Place to the dishes brought, hopes founded to correct these bad impressions. the boiling cassoulet catches the note; the other two dishes and their crushed potato are suitable. During our meal, the more curious is the way for the restaurateur and his staff to welcome guests. Three admissions give access to the restaurant. One door is condemned, two others allow to return. As a leader, the manager is watching but does not inform potential clients. better yet: a family waited wisely for a few good minutes without consideration of the staff for a lapidary answer: "Good morning. It's full." It was 1:00 p.m., there was room, customers were about to leave, including us. the will to welcome and to bring a gourmet note to a good stay in Brittany turned into a burden. difficult to hear a few minutes later with other customers ":everyone arrives at the same time". you become a restaurant by cultivating an extra contact with a greedy urge and/or a getaway. The mixed impression is joined as started in the only dessert expected and not finished. the product is not atrocious; it is not the ideal conclusion made for the customer but an impersonal sweet note, perhaps industrial to its appearance and quickly forgetable. Without coffees consumed elsewhere and a dessert from the menu, the note is more than 52 euros. the note could not rise beyond 2/5:- 1 point concerning accompaniments. Chef(s) cook(s), free to get out of the too small choice of apple in the oven and processed potato.-1 point about the products. improve or create your menu items to pay tribute to your skill that can be rigorously beautiful when taken to heart. -1 point for the staff's atmosphere. in a pleasant a priori setting, a non-voluntary to serve or go to the reception or advice of the customers. the customer is not simply paying the note or being passing: he thinks, recommends or avoids carefully advising an address.
