Restaurant L'Espiègle

We're in Saint Hyacinthe this week on business and on one of those days we meet some colleagues for lunch at Restaurant l'Espiegle. This is a nice restaurant in the old downtown Saint Hyacinthe in some of the very old buildings here. It's a small place that has been renovated to bring out the old architecture but it is done very tastefully. Our colleagues order a bottle of wine, the selection is quite extensive as I suspect most would expect in higher end restaurants in this part of town, I don't know much about wine but this one was very good. What a surprise. Looked for a restaurant in the centre via Google maps and picked this one. When I entered I did not like the smell. Reminded me of the times when smoking was still allowed. But from that moment on, it only got better. Excellent service, interesting beers (I had Interdite). I ordered the tartare de lapin and it was delicious. Will definitely come back. Need to find out if the rest of the menu reaches the same high level.

C'est notre endroit de prédilection pour se gâter et déguster un excellent tartare. Les portions sont généreuses, les petits appétits comme moi seront comblés par un plat principal, mais vous pouvez partager un dessert à 2 ! Le tartare de canard est ma valeur sûre, mon amie opte toujours pour le tartare de boeuf rehaussé !

J'y suis allée pour le midi pour affaire. Le service chaleureux et connaissant du menu et produits. Belle ambiance, le plafond est magnifique, voir ma photo. Le repas agréable et bon. Je vous conseille de marcher autour dans un joli quartier du vieux St-Hyacinthe. Reserva una mesa ahora

Repas succulents dans une très belle ambiance. Bon endroit pour fêter un anniversaire ou autres événements.
