We are in...Mid Oct in the middle of the game season is Switzerland. Big portion with local and seasonal flavours. The main dish was the filet de perche from the lake Geneva itself, fresh of the day. Delicious served with vegetables and steamed rice. Finished of with a dessert, moelleux au chocolat with white Toblerone chocolat inside. Again generous and delicious. I ordered a vervienne tea which was prepared from real leaves and not those powdered sachets. Good address and most likely we will return with friends for a meal.
I have yet to find happiness here. With a new team in place (and nothing but positive reviews on Tripadvisor) I wanted to give this restaurant another chance. But once again, it was a bad decision. Admittedly, staff has gotten friendlier, but for the rest…...Service is still slow, cooking is still mediocre and prices are still stiff. And what really put me off was the sloppiness. The vegetables were not what we ordered, the salad came with a dressing I didn’t want, and the pasta had a sauce we explicitly asked not to be added. Perhaps it is still warm-up time for the new tenants and our experience was just bad luck, but it seems to me that getting the order right and knowing what’s on the menu is where it all starts.
In my previous reviews of this place, I had nothing positive to say. None of the tenants managed to make a satisfied and regular customer out of me. Needless to say that when I was invited for lunch there the other day, I accepted without...enthusiasm. But boy, was I in for a surprise. Not only was the dining room packed, everything was perfect. From the warm welcome to the prompt and attentive service to the tasteful meal… right up to the coffee the house offered. So, all is forgotten and forgiven. Keep up the good work and I’ll repay you with many more visits, as well as publicity among friends and business contacts – which starts with this positive Tripadvisor review!.
The location, the view and most importantly the food is very good, however the service is just terrible. We first tested this restaurant last month and had a similar experience, we decided to give it another try today but we just had a same experience....They forget the orders, or you get the wrong plate, they don’t know the table numbers, they are totally lost, the service is just very bad. it took us around to get our starters. The manager has a real hard time to accept complaints and just don’t accept to listen to you. Pity because the good and the view are real good.
