Visited this place for dinner on a Thursday night arriving at 8:15 to an empty dining room. Uh oh! Not to fear. Half an hour later there were 20+ diners and judging from the conversation many of them locals/regulars. The waiter spoke decent English and explained the few things on the french menu I did not recognize. We opted for the 29E 4 course dinner which had a healthy selection of choices in each category. I had a charcuterie starter that was big enough for a meal by itself. My wife had a salad rouge with beets, red cabbage, tomato, red grapefruit, red and green lettuce topped with three very large sauteed shrimp. The portions here are very large. For the plat, I chose a roasted lamb shank and my wife chose the "bar" a bass. Both were extremely large portions excellently presented and very tasty. The cheese course is a selection from about 15-20 cheeses and the dessert choices equally plentiful. I was so full I opted for a plain vanilla ice cream to finish. The wine list also offers some interesting selections and at quite reasonable prices. All in all about 77E for two for a 4 course meal with a nice bottle of Alsace wine.

Three years after I first stepped into this jewel of a restaurant I am still amazed by the consistency. The dishes are always made from fresh ingredients and from local, traditional recipes. The service is very professional and friendly. Valerie and Fred manage to meet high expectations which they have set from the get go. Try the very well-priced wine list of local, small wineries from the Ventoux and the Luberon which rival the best of Gigondas & Chateauneuf. Wrap it up with a small class of Genepy to crystallize a great lunch or diner!

Had two pleasant evenings at this restaurant. The enthusiastic owners are husband (chef) and wife team. .Open for two years, pleasantly decorated with happy relaxed french service. Tried €19 fixed four course menu first night , limited choice(main course) but good value french cooking. Had €27 fixed four course menu second night, more choice. examples are starters cold meats (good selection), lasagne, tart, creme brulee, excellent big cheese board. Smoked duck salad, lamb, duck, fish, cheese, profiteroles etc.

Had the 21€ fixed price lunch. Nearly everything was vegetarian. Main course which I had was spinach in a cream sauce. It scarcely touched my appetite. The more expensive wines were pushed, and the one we took was only passable. Having been to this restaurant, we tried another Salon restaurant, and this was not much better. Clearly owners are only spending the absolute minimum on ingredients.
