Restaurant Oasis

Went for lunch on a Thursday in July. Very nice views and ice cream but the service really drags it down.THE GOODIce cream- so much choice and whatever you pick it will be delicious! The view- the restaurant is right on the lake, so you get phenomenal views.THE BADThe prices are too high for what is being offered. The food is simple. It's edible but will do little more than satisfy your hunger. They somehow "forgot" to mention that they don't take cards until after the meal. Simply disrespectful to your guests. One of us arrived 20mins later than the rest and was told that the main menu is no longer being offered, however when they pointed at a salad from the main menu that was already on the table they were more than happy to make it. Why not just give the main menu to begin with? Little things like getting up to look for the waiter and asking for drinks multiple times before they arrive...all add up to make the service less than ideal.

We arrived in Montreux at about 20:10 on Monday 01 August National Day so everywhere was very busy, with lots of fireworks going off all around.Driving from Montreux to Bouveret it was decided that we would stop and eat before we arrived at the mother-in laws. She knew this restaurant from a previous visit.When we arrived it was very busy but the waiter had no problem finding us a table by the window which allowed us a good view of the fireworks.The menu contained a good selections of main courses including chicken, steaks and fish.We ordered two steaks with fries and salad and one chicken with rice.When the food arrived it was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious.The service was delivered with a smile and professional expertise.I would recommened this restaurant to anyone requiring above average food and service for an average price.

On a sunny Saturday afternoon we came here to enjoy a drink. Unfortunately, the Aperol Spritz had way too much Aperol in it - which is not a big deal as I decided to simply ask for extra mineral water. However, after the first waiter told me he does not have time for me and the second one rudely told me "that's Aperol", then even dared to roll his eyes when I explained to him it is simply a bit too strong for my liking, shrugged his shoulders and turned away. Terrible experience and only recommend this place to people that want to be disappointed.

Nice terrasse on the lake with a beautiful view. The filets de per hey were delicious but they are not from the lake as the menu "English version" suggests it (local fish filet) Don't be mislead. That being said, they were very good and the service was very friendly.

Like a gorgeous day and a chance to sit on their peer and have a nice little lunch, even if overpriced. Great service, great setting
