Ochs Bernkastel Kues

My husband and I stayed in the Burgblick Hotel for 3 nights and Ochs is the restaurant attached to the hotel. Out of the 3 nights we were there, this was by far our favourite meal. The restaurant isn't big, it used to be the slaughter house at one time so it's decorated to reflect this and I liked that you could see partially into the kitchen, I always like when I can see what is happening in the kitchen. Their food and wine selection was wonderful! My husband had the stewed ox cheek and it was so flavourful, the meat was so tender it just fell apart. I had the goat's cheese salad and it was amazing!! I actually asked the owner if there was any way they could deliver this salad to me weekly....

We were staying at the Hotel Burgblick during our first visit to Bernkastel-Kues, and this restaurant is part of their hotel do we decided to give it a go based on the reviews here. We are so glad we did. This was our best evening meal of our entire stay.Friendly service and great food & wines.I had the stewed ox cheek with Gräwes and salad, while my wife had the Goat Cheese Salad. Both were outstanding. Visited this somewhat hidden away restaurant with a group of 7 friends -and we are so happy we went there! Walking into the back alley we loved the atmosphere right away. Nicely decorated and their food and wine followed up. All at good prices, particularly the wine. Good quality at a good price -what more to ask for? Add a friendly staff to this and you have a top recommandation for where to dine in Bernkastel-Kued All the dishes we had were good, I loved the beetroot I had as a starter. Enjoy!

Restaurant inside hotel Burgblick in a former butchery. Limited menu choice which is geared towards the size of the restaurant and kitchen. The meat is excellent and they have a nice choice of wines. We tried the Spätburgunder from Regnery and can recommend it. As resident of the hotel we also received a voucher for a free after or pre-dinner drink. Fantastic food and service. The restaurant is very small so make a reservation. Well worth a visit and their little hotel is also excellent. Really great hosts.

enjoyed a very nice barbecue dinner here while we stayed at the hotel. We loved the staff, and the food was incredible!
