Gaststätte Old Church

The restaurant of the Landhotel Klingerhof two miles away, our base, was closed and the receptionist recommended the Old Church in nearby Haibach, a pretty village in the valley below. It was almost full, and that at on a Sunday evening a good...sign! The place looked quite authentic, an impression re-inforced by the realisation that many locals were eating there. A friendly young waitress brought us a quite extensive menu in German only and we opted for a carafe of what we were told was a dry white housewine at a moderate price whilst we perused it. Our car broke down and we had' to stay overnight in Haibach. Not much to do there, so we went out for a meal and ended up in Old Church'. It is a very cosy restaurant. We were there on Saturday and loads of families...were there having a great time and eating nice food. The lady serving us was absolutely adorable. A couple next to us offered us a taste' so we would know what to order?!!! So adorable. They had great beers and good food and not expensive at all...actually..it was quite cheap! We have to go back there to pick up our car..hopefully they are open for lunch...have to check!

We used the delivery service and are fully enthusiastic. The offer and also the special weekly offers or Christmas are great. Very nice contact, reliable delivery at the agreed time and the food is very tasty, the portions are sufficiently large. Very good price/performance ratio. Dear team of the Old Church.... thank you! Please keep doing so! A great way for good food in Corona time

The first time I was with my family. Very happy. My daughter has a small pizza, 2 drinks and an ice cream that was not calculated. In addition, the service is very friendly and attentive. Price performance good. Eating came quite fast though it was pretty crowded. Meat was coveted to the point and very good, with a friendly service. You're welcome.

Very good place for dinner. Big portions, good prices. Thay offers four kinds of drafted beers. Nice staff.
