We booked a table in advance to enjoy the lovely white asparagus during May month in Northern Germany. We chose this restaurant because of its location close the harbour and ferry port to Norway, because we didn't have much time. We arrived a bit earlier...than booked, but we were met with understanding and got a table anyway. The service was great and we were served wine and alster after a couple of minutes. Our food was perfect, asparagus from Schleswig-Holstein is just the right food for May. Since we are living in Norway, there is seldom a chance to get to taste the white asparagus made the right way with hollandaise and potatoes everybody thinks the green is better.....but it is NOT. We had people for dinner , as a hotel guest we made no reservation. The whole restaurant was free, but a very young servant asked not only for reservation, but gave as a table we did not want. So after a little debate,,we got...what I want and the young man never showed up again. The female service at the table was friendly and helpful. Good wines and different beers where fine. We had seasonal food, fresh Spargel ! The Spargel was good, right al dente, the potatoes unfortunately with the skin, what we do not like, and as a sidestep Holsteinischer Schinken . It might be a speciality however it was to thick as a peace. Would have preferred thinner Koch -Schinken as served in other regions. Bu...
We were three spontaneously eating at Pier 16. After a small waiting period, we were led to our table and the order of the drinks did not wait long. Shortly thereafter, the order of the food was received. There was a little bread with oil, there could have been a greeting from the kitchen. We chose the Bruschetta, the Lasagne and the Baltic Sea. The dishes were very good and the size of the portions ok, with the fish would like to have a little more supplement. As dessert we had the Crème Brûlée and the Mille feuille of white chocolate, yogurt and fruity tea. The desserts were also delicious. The service was fine, but not overwhelming. Finally we were satisfied and the 4 stars are deserved.
Decorations on the tables and in the whole place are sensible and tasteful. The toilets are always too clean and all in all, the restaurant gives a very good impression.Not only the nice staff was the absolute hit during our visit, but also the great ambience.The selection I find wide-ranging and until now has all been 100% super-bodied, which I have been serving for my part in front of me.I found the offer extremely sympathetic. The waiters are constantly struggling and galantic without leaving!The decorations on the squares and throughout the restaurant are sensible and beautiful. The bathroom is always clean and all in everything the restaurant gives a harmonious impression.It's always nice and we had a wonderful afternoon.I can say as long as we've still nix knickt! It was every time a success in my mouth.
