On the first day we wanted to get a hot chocolate before we went to Leukerbad. It was 16:25. A beautiful young lady in cash and we enjoyed our hot drink on the terrace until 16:45. The next day we arrived earlier at 16:05, the 3 coffee/chocolate machine were at the same time in cleaning. A lady mentioned that the restaurant did not serve hot drinks after 4:00 p.m. and at 4:15 p.m., the time of the last cable car to Leukerbad. We stressed that it did not mention visible opening hours at the entrance of the restaurant, and did not close anything about hot drink service earlier. It's a pity because it was one of the few places in Leukerbad, you can still enjoy the sun after 16:00 in winter.
I had no problems with the staff. They were decent, but still they wouldn't share with me the wifi password, add that to the fact that my mobile had no network coverage (Yallo Swiss) resulted in a bit of a frustration. The prices were normal for a restaurant situated at 2300 m altitude, I didn't have to wait a lot in line. The food didn't look impressive, so I did not indulge myself. The room, as other reviewers have said, is not very warm...not freezing, but still, coming in with all my clothes full of sweat, I dreamt of having the opportunity to dry myself up and get warm...You get a very nice view of the mountains from the outdoor terrace, that is the best thing about this place.
There was NOONE in the restaurant next to us and the staff. We had paid a lot for our meal, which wasn't the best. Then we had two bottles of Evian water that we do NOT drink once (the bottles we had before we came to the Rsteraunt). The boss came to our table and was VERY AGGRESSIVE to my daughter and me. He took my daughters water (which she didn't drink, but only next to her because she didn't want it to spill in her pocket) then he tried to take away what STEALING is. We have been coming to Leukerbad for many years and do not expect us to be treated like this. There was no one in the restaurant and now we know why.
Dieses Restaurant ist ein Grund für schlechte Bewertungen von Touristikbetrieben in der Schweiz. Die Speisen sind qualitativ in Ordnung aber relativ teuer. Ausserdem hatte man bei unserem Besuch nur eine Kasse offen und so war alles kalt wenn man die Kasse erreicht hatte. Darauf angesprochen meinte das Personal nur lächelnd' dass bald jemand kommen würde. Und das zur Mittagszeit!Positiv zu erwähnen gilt es die Aussichtsterrasse. Der Blick auf die Alpen ist umwerfend. é la seconda volta che torno per il veglione di capodanno, ho trovato lo stesso cibo di 10 anni fa ma onestamente.. il posto è bello, il personale simpatico, cibo copioso, location molto bella . Tutto molto semplice e senza pretese, ma gradevole e comunque brindare sulla neve guardando la valle... davvero magico! ci torneremo.
Der Aufenthalt im Restaurant Rinderhütte macht wenig Freude. Das Personal ist unfreundlich, man muss extrem lange warten und die Preise sind völlig überteuert. Die Qualität der Speisen lässt ebenfalls zu wünschen übrig. Das Lokal gleicht einem Wartesaal und ist nicht wirklich warm.
We took advantage of a combined cable car and breakfast ticket on our first morning in Leukerbad to get oriented. A good simple meal of orange juice, fresh bread, croissants, ham, cheese and salami with a great view of the ski hill and surrounding mountains. Reserva una mesa ahora
