We have eaten twice here and every time the food was very good and the service was very friendly. The simple schnitzel is cooked directly, with light bread, juicy and very good. The accompanying frits are very fresh and hot and the salads are traditional and attractive. Would definitely recommend. The only negative is that it usually only 2 servers for outdoor marketplace tables. Although they really cry, they have trouble keeping with all the tables.
Visited 2x on our holiday and had German food every time along with very friendly service. The restaurant was super busy at our second visit (with many local guests) and the owner worked tirelessly to serve all. The Pfifferlinger was especially brilliant and had...a scavenger with blows of bacon and cheese, properly cooked chips and a beautiful side salad. Very recommended to other Boppard restaurants. Good value!
Found in an evening and the gentleman was quite apologetic because they did not serve food this evening. But we went back the next night as we were not disappointed. Our limited knowledge, the menu appears typical German, so sausages, Goulash, Bratwurst and I tried... something that sounded like a German version of Haggis, which tasted wonderfully. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place.
Really nice quality food, the real Stubl type of place that is worth a visit to Germany and definitely. Fantastic mushrooms made on toast form a mixture, although predominantly Chanterelles (Mushroom season has just begun). Nicely cooked carving, decent beer place...Weine. Very busy local service is good and highly recommended
