Restaurant Rive De Thau

Another wonderful meal - the restaurant is situated on the sea front with plenty of shade. We found this many years ago and the quality of the food is excellent every time. The wine is from the local co-operative L'Ormarine at Pinet and is highly recommended and can now be found in the UK! The staff are always polite and the service is always good. The oysters and muscles are local and can be seen growing on the farms in the sea. They have a good menu with a good choice of meat for non fish eaters. I had the 29€ menu and would have preferred the fois gras cooked a bit more for my taste. The gratinee oysters were superb, my friend had the plat de jour and the salad was outstanding. We also had 2 French friends with us who said their fish dishes were exceptional. Another friend - there were 8 of us on this visit- had a variety of fish courses of his choice which included oysters, muscles both natural and gratinee and various others of his choice. Overall the bill was very reasonable for what we all had to eat and drink - this is a highly recommended restaurant and cannot understand why it is only No: 11 in Bouzigues. We have visited and reviewed another restaurant but this is still our favorite.

There was no high chair only a booster seat so my 14 month old daughter was up and down like a yoyo once she realised she wasn't strapped in!My husband ordered the set menu which good value for money at €15.90 however there were only 2 choices per course and I could eat them being pregnant so just ordered grilled fish Main of the a la carte menu. His starter came all good. He finished his starter and they delivered my main but didn't take is finished dishes. Mine was suppose to come with rice so I asked for this twice. I finished my main course and then my husbands arrived about 10 mins later...I still didn't have my rice!My dirty dishes were still on the table. They eventually got cleared with my cutlery and after we had all finished eating the rice arrived. The set menu was good value although choice was limited compared to other places we'd been. The food was as hood as other places we've eaten on this trip it just seemed a bit lacking in service. However I will say all the other tables I noticed did not seem to be having the same trouble as us.

On the waterfront, this family owned restaurant is delightful. English speaking young waiter was very helpful and attentive. Oysters wonderful! We enjoyed the Fish Soup, the Bouride (Monkfish in Saffron Sauce), the Prawns and everything else. The desserts were also good, especially the Ile de flottante! Good wine list and very well priced.

We had a late dinner around 9pm. The kitchen closes at 9.30pm. The service was good with one of the waiters speaking English. We tried a fish soup as a starter and a fish and a seafood platter as the mains. The tastes were ok but not outstanding. They have both outdoor and indoor seating

As a family we have been several times to this restaurant Never been disappointed The food is fresh and nicely cooked Nice atmosphere The terrace outside is more attractive but if you go for decent food, inside is ok Better reserve at anytime
