Restaurant Rosati

We came here for dinner after visiting the opera over the road, as it was quite late and we were ravenous. The staff were very friendly and came straight over and started talking to us in Italian - they clearly like having a bit of a chat and a joke with their customers and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The pasta and wine was good, and the opera cast turned up shortly after us - was interesting to see them out of their costumes, and they were really nice to the diners who were applauding them for their performance. We were going to the ballet and I wanted to book something near to it. Didn t have much expectations since i had to choose something in a hurry. BUT the place turned out to be great! Of course the owner was a bit rude just like in Italia, it makes It autentic. Sure everyone has an idea of the perfect Italian restaurant. This place is cute, unexpensive , the food was good and it s obviously a place locals go to. They didnt have a menu in english so basic italian/german will help you choose.

The waiter was a man of few words; but the food and service were excellent. Pizza was fresh, the salad generous and the coffee was good. The restaurant is quiet and maybe dated but it has a pleasant charm. Ideally situated opposite the Deutsche Opera it's the ideal spot to eat before a performance.

A nice place to visit before the opera. The pizza was not perfect (a couple of seconds in the oven would have been required). Pasta and salad were better. The service was perfect.

Nice Italian restaurant. Good food. The service could be a little bit better. Not too expensive. Our waiter was very friendly but disorganized. We went there before opera.
