Service was decent and good choice of foods which were typical quality for this type of mountain restaurant. Certainly tasty and nicely presented but not gourmet. Take a table close to the railings though and you have a panoramic view across to - in my opinion - is one of the most beautiful Alpine views you will have. The restaurant is about a 50 meter walk up a steepish path from the mountain railway and this is a high altitude restaurant (well over 2000 meters). We went with my parents who are in their eighties and they just took plenty of stops on the way up (there are seats). They took the train all the way up and down. pros scenic brilliant structure beautiful pleasant structure and building simple and sufficient for the needs of the traveling, visitors and hikers excellent view of the pointed panoramic breathtaking views while eating at the terrace tables (see my photos) Interesting...Move to the shuttle accessories from the steam train with cable car clean and safe bathroom cons many passers- not for intimates i visited the brim place ... I used the facilities there (see my photos of this experience.) the service and the eating seemed appropriate. I'm sure it's a pretty experience to eat here at the mountain summit, so just do it.
the view from the restaurant (near and also outside) is amazing. depending on where they sit, they can see the lake of bride, eiger, monk and virgin (and much more) or sörenberg, pilatus and schrattenfluh (and much more). when you sit inside, make sure you have a table in the window. regarding the menu, they have made a good selection of different meal times (traditional, burger, suppen, salate) fresh. as everything has to be delivered by steam or cable car, it is impressive how fresh and tasty everything is.
that a reservation is lost, ok. how a restaurant treats the situation, that is the question. rothorn kulm has handled it really badly: long wait, confusing information, I am not sorry. place the guests from one place to another. I think it's okay as a day guest. if they plan a event, I would be careful, call them again and let them confirm the reservation.

We only had enough time to go up on one train and down on the next one, so slipped in for a quick coffee and a warm. And what a view! We felt we were on the top of the world, with breathtaking views of startlingly beautiful mountain peaks above the fog and the clouds.Come here and enjoy a wonderful coffee from friendly and attentive staff - we did!
First of all: the view from the terrace and also most of the windows inside is amazing. The menue is what you usually get at this sort of place: Röste, Älpler Maggronen etc. The prices are not too bad considering the location. I thought the food was very average, nothing to shout about. The service was friendly and efficient.
The food was good and service was average. At the top of this mountain, don't expect too much from this restaurant. If it is sunny, try to sit outside. Too bad the day I was there, it was raining heavily. Price is fair at this location. The hot chocolate was like ovaltine...I wish it was real chocolate!
Had the best spaghetti bolognese in Switzerland. We were sure that like every tourist restaurant, we will have a very expensive meal, and mediocre food, but this was a surprise. even the cake and kids ice cream were good.

Had sausage with fries and my favorite beer Eichhof. Food was alright, fries were little salty, service was not bad. The Killer view forgives everything.
On a clear day we can see Jungfrau from the restaurant. Nice place to enjoy the view. Food was ok nothing special. Expensive. Ambience was good.
