Take my breath away with a view to give you goosebumps, the mountain vistas and lake below is a sight a camera simply cannot capture. I'm speaking from someone who lives on the flattest part of planet earth America's Midwest. Just sitting in this restaurant is having your cake and eat it too. Life is Good. Oh yeah, they serve food. Das Ambiente ist gut und die Aussicht atemberaubend. Allerdings ist es ein Schönwetter Lokal nach dem die Terrasse mit Aussicht zum Verweilen einlädt. Das Personal ist unfreundlich weil es unterbesetzt ist. Ein Lokal dieser Art muss auf ein vollbesetztes Lokal zur Mittagszeit eingerichtet sein. Leider war die Wartezeit sehr lange. Die Getränke sind sehr teuer (Soda Zitrone 0,5 für 3,80€). Das Essen ist schnell fertig. Dies liegt an der übersichtlichen Karte und dass diese Gerichte nur noch angerichtet werden müssen. Not sure who I'm really leaving this review for since Yelp isn't really a thing in Austria and this place is already behind a ticket pay-wall for the salt mine, but just to document my experience my fiancé and I had a great time here. Yes, the prices are for sure going to be a few dollars more pricy than normal, but **** just look beyond the railing and you'll see exactly why that is. Having a turkey schnitzel with some of the best potato salad I've ever had while drinking a nice hefeweizen looking out into the alpine landscape has to be one of my favorite vacation experiences ever, and I found the food quality to be pretty damn good.
The restaurant is located in the Rudolf Tower UNESCO World Heritage Viewing platform, so the view is breathtaking. We went there after visiting the salt mine. Initially, we thought it would be pricey since it's at such a touristy place. To our surprise, the price...is very reasonable so we decided to eat there since we're very hungry. The service and staff were great. Our food come pretty fast and it was better than expected! We're very satisfy with what we had there. Great Austrian/Bavarian dishes with reasonable price with amazing view, especially if you sit outdoor.
Had lunch at this beautiful little restaurant overlooking Lake Halstatt for a birthday celebration. It was magical. The menu is limited but the food service was good. The views were breathtaking. Highly recommended if you are in the Halstatt area and going up to...the salt mines or skywalk.

Didn't have high hopes - assumed that the stunning location would mean inflated prices and mediocre food. But in fact the prices were reasonable, the service good, and the food very good. Recommended.
Reasonably good food (place is not visited because of that)and good service paired with beautiful view. Very kind Hungarian staff, and stunning view of the lake and the city.
