Usually I write reviews of far away places when I am away traveling. This time I decided to write a review on a local restaurant which I feel is well known to us locals but not to foreign traveler looking for an authentic Swiss country cuisine experience.All can say that you get no nonsense good country meals at a very reasonable price. Not suitable if you are a vegetarian as pork & beef is almost part of any menu. You might still go there as they offer plates of salad or a steamed veges. The home-made bread served with their meals is the best around. They have no internet presence so you must know that they are closed Wednesdays and Thursdays. Accessible by car or hourly post bus from Rafz or Winterthur train stations. Bus stop Steinenkreuz.
very friendly reception, professional advice and a nice selection of fresh local dishes. the appetit immediately stimulates. the prices are very customer-friendly. especially the prices for the local wee are record-worthy. the meals are very tasty, friendly presented and make a very fresh impression. the service reads no wish open, be it from the service staff or the wirtin itself. highly recommended!
I've been a couple of times to eat in this restaurant, and I must say that I've always eaten very well..... let's say who I grew up in Switzerland and now I go back every now and then, and every time I go to eat in this restaurant gladly! I really like the leberwurst and also the blutwurst and the sauerkraut......you'll appreciate the reasonwoli and good service, thanks to the next tone
very nice country restaurant in it like out. the operation is family run and the staff is very friendly and equally attentive. the selection of foods is correct and the prices are moderate and careful; the portions are really big.I had a salmon trout from bachs, which was extremely well cooked and prepared! we come back. the restaurant is a little secret tip.
