when connected to a large hotel, they expect that restaurant is packed. the first warning sign was that only two tables were recorded. even with the restaurant was almost empty, it took mins for meals to get out. gnocchi was strange, bland, tasteless and burnt. duck was dry, sauce was bland. He was nice. steak was nice, sauce was nice. absolutely not worth the price. the service was terrible. when we led the gnocchi, the answer was “was it? I’m sorry to hear that. that will fail. worst meal we had in tasmania.
Slow cooked pork and confit duck October Sorry disappointed. My wife and I both had slow cooked pork and confit duck. We found the duck to be very salty and the pork was lacking flavour and the crackling was soft. The beans didn't match the menu and the presentation was disappointing served in a large bowl. We finished with trio of cheeses to finish very nice the cheeses were from England why? Tassie has some of the best cheeses in the world.

I have eaten an breakfast buffet every day in this restaurant and it was absolutely delicious. they also have morning and afternoon tea and lunch for us on this work trip and it is some of the best hotel feelings I have eaten. a pumpkin cake was especially from the afternoon tea and I also enjoyed the vegetarian lasagne from the lunch.
I visited this restaurant for a business dinner in a large group. I had laughs for dinner, which was cooked very nicely. it came with slices of grilled baby potato and I think zucchini. it was very well presented and delicious. as a side we had grilled sweet potato and pumped and they were also quite delicious.
Dined for dinner whilst staying at Grand Chancellor hotel for the weekend. I had the slow braised lamb for main triple brie cheese for dessert. Really enjoyed both my dishes, very tasty well presented.
Great food!. We've stayed at HGC twice now. We've had room service and eaten in at Tasman twice. All times the food was great. We stick with veg and seafood and aren't disappointed.

Nice dinner.. Business dinner was nice. Service super friendly. All food tasted great! Recommend salt pepper calamari, chips mayo steaks. Total for people, including a drink each.
