now, on Monday evening they have a limited selection. when we entered this restaurant, there was a denser smoke inside that you could hardly see (the half of the public smoked strongly, by the way I thought it was already forbidden in the eu, apparently I was wrong). this was the point where we should have gone, unfortunately we did not. we ordered french woof - it was average. the second floor was a shiny carving what we got was a normal panned fried meat and had nothing to do with a shiny carving. Maybe the witness had a wrong day - the previous visitors were mostly happy - maybe my expectations were too high, not sure .I can not recommend it definitiw.
in expectation to return to home the next morning, I wanted to eat a last traditional German in a beautiful environment. this restaurant has fulfilled my wish. my carving with bratkartoffels and a glass riesling was wonderful. the building is only 400 years old. the interieur was modernized, but still retains its traditional German style. the owners prepared a delicious meal and served it. they speak perfectly English and I enjoyed listening to their lives in Oestrich-Winkel. I will definitely come back with my next trip.
Ein wunderschönes kleines Café Bistro sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Hier findet jeder etwas nach seinem Geschmack wechselnde Tagesgerichte, leckere Kuchen und beste Kaffeevarianten. Auch für den kleinen Hunger findet man einiges auf der Speisekarte. Leckere Weine, Cocktails und Bier auch als alkoholfreie Variante sind lecker. Diese alles zu guten Preisen. Genau solch eine Location bereichert Oestrich ungemein.
Wir waren hier auf einen Espresso. Ich hatte dann auch einen Kuchen dazu bestellt. Leider war der Kuchen gar nicht lecker. Location sehr schön aber Service und anscheinend essen eher nicht so empfehlenswert. Bedienung wirkte desinteressiert. Wir werden wohl nicht wiederkommen. Schade, so schöne Location und wieder kein gutes Café oder Restaurant.

3* . beautiful cottage with beautiful garden. they served our 10-headed group without problems. eating was good and unpretentious: carving, maul bags and even a few vegetarian options. definitiw good food, but does not stand out from the "good average German restaurants" ... if they understand what I mean.
War mit Freundinnen beim Kaffee trinken und Kuchen essen. Sehr schönes Ambiente! Kuchen, Kaffee und Service sehr gut! Kein Grund zum meckern! Ich werde gern wieder kommen.
Heute Mittagstisch to go getestet. Unglaublich freundlicher Service. Total schön dekoriert. Kaum Wartezeit. Sehr zu empfehlen.
