We found the Variable purely by chance as were walking by on a very warm sunny late afternoon, we needed some beers so we took a seat. After a very warm greeting and while we were waiting for our drinks we looked at the menu....We hadn’t intended to eat but the temptation was too great when we saw not only what was on offer but also the reasonableness of the prices. From a good list of vegetarian options, I chose ‘Paradiesgarten’ and my wife ordered the meaty ‘Putengiros’. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals; the portions were huge and beautifully cooked and presented and the service was efficient and charming. Leider ist der Inhaber nicht sehr gastfreundlich. Wir haben uns sehr nett mit zwei Gästen am Nachbartisch unterhalten. Die wurden leider nach einer Stunde! an einen anderen Tisch verwiesen, da sie nur zu zweit waren und eine größere Gästegruppe für den vier Personen Tisch hätte kommen können. Allerdings kam auch nach zwei Stunden keine größere Gruppe. Später war dem Inhaber unser Gespräch zu laut und wir wurden mehrfach gebeten ruhig zu sein. Das Essen ist trotz alle dem gut. Besuchen werde ich die Gaststätte trotzdem nicht wieder.
What a great place to eat multicultural meals and drink good German beers and wines! Yummy! Excellent service from a lovely young female who spoke English fluently. I had broccoli, walnuts and potato in bechamel sauce with delicious sheep’s cheese melted all over....My husband had vine leaves which came with herby focaccia. And I could not resist the Fried Banana with honey, coconut, cream and ice cream. Heavenly.
This bar/restaurante became an improvised base near the convention center. A good place meet, eat and drink. We had lunch, coffee, and drinks on two consecutive days. Our serves made us feed welcome. The pumkin ginger soup was ver nice. Good beers and inexpensive drinks....The menu has a bit of everything. As our waiter said, its and international restaurant meaning they have a lot of everything and nothing .

We were warmly welcomed and given a quiet table outside the main room which suited us perfectly. Service exemplary and food good. Smokey aubergine and excellent vine leaf starters then we had an excellent burger, creamy cauliflower cheese and a great chicken and mushroom gratin....Very well priced and plenty of atmosphere in the wood lined room.
Waren aufgrund der vielen positiven Bewertungen hier auf TripAdvisor zum Abendessen. Also satt sind wir geworden, die Preise gehen für die Nähe zur Messe absolut in Ordnung und der Service ist sehr freundlich, aber das war es auch. Also weder unerschwinglich gut, noch schlecht. Irgendwas mittendrin daher nur 3 Sterne.
Had eaten here before on a previous visit food is good and plentiful think it may be a student hangout. There were 5 of us and i had macaroni bake which is actually penne but that was really my only gripe and we paid 50...euros for everything including a few beers and a bottle of wine so all good!
Für eine Pizza und ein Getränk im Variable. Preis-/Leistung stimmen. Hier sollte man nichts Außergewöhnliches erwarten, solide Küchenleistung und für Hamburger Verhältnisse günstige Getränkepreise.Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam.

the food and service were great, the staff totally friendly. they have a large selection of different kitchens, they can choose between German, Italian and international dishes. the steak was rare as desired.
