Dark and cramped vintage interior. Slightly nervous and impatient service, always trying to force a smile upon themselves. Confusing menu options and daily specials. Good food, well executed cuisine bourgeoise, quality ingredients. My veal Zurcher Geschnetzeltes in mushroom sauce with a few pieces of delicious morel mushrooms was really excellent but the meat portion size was inadequate and the high level of saltiness did great damage to the overall balance . Rösti side was succulent. White Austrian wine by the carafe was OK. People seemed to enjoy. Keenly prices for the Swiss. One of the better places in this beautiful town.

I've been in the "golden schöfli" for dinner for a long time. it was once more an experience. from ambiente with the slanted floor over the attentive and very friendly staff to eat! we first chose burrata and then for 2 people a 800g velvet with supplement - some other. it was simply a pleasure! also thank you for the super service and attention that I don't like so huge portions on the teller. top!

Typical establishment of the region, where nothing is straight. Just look at the business cards and postcards. The room leans (typical of the region) The place is nice, but noisy because it's very busy. The dishes are very good, interesting choice of wine. The bill rose to 170. for 2, with dishes around 40. (cordon bleu)

My friend and I went here to my birthday and loved it! Our server was very helpful and attentive. She was very patient with us because my friend does not speak German. She also helped us clean up after we spilled wine and the staff made my dessert for my birthday. Food and wine were amazing. Very recommended! Reserva una mesa ahora

A group of 4 of us came here for dinner. It is a very historic building and very well preserved. The service was friendly and efficient, menu choices were very good and an excellent selection of wines including by the glass. Prices are medium to high end Swiss but the quality and ambience are very good.

One of my favorite restaurants in St. Gallen. Really everything was great, excellent, upscale cuisine, great ambience and great service. Everything is just right here.

Went to the golden Schäfli for lunch today for the first time. The visit to the restaurant was simply great from A to Z it couldn't be better thank you very much!

Food was excellent, service was excellent with a home feel to it. A very old building with floors you have to see. Hope to be back soon.
