Decided to try this very highly recommended eatery on Saturday night and the food, service and wine was excellent, seasonal produce is fantastic. The two ladies that severed our table were excellent and professional. They have a Portuguese red on the menu that's very affordable and superb. I have however one negative comment from my visit and that on leaving the resteraunt my clothes smelled as if I have been working in their kitchen all evening, either their kitchen extraction fans were not working or working badly on Saturday, it was quite disgusting.
during this visit, unfortunately, the impression of eight months has been confirmed. eating is good, the card small, seasonal and interesting. but the staff is not able to meet the task, and this is shown in almost incredible waiting times. It's a pity about the place, but I'm not going to go any longer.
I like eating in the castle can be simple: the card is small, but the choice is difficult - I would prefer to choose all menus and creations. the combinations on the teller are always a joy and each have something. And as a schoggi lover, the praline cake is simply the heaven!
we were too two and looked for a local where you can sit out and eat comfortably. the restaurant to the castle could fulfill our expectations after a cozy and inexpensive restaurant. for 35fr. there was a sausage creation of the house with gratin and vegetables to drink a rod. the castle of koeniz and its square is already a place that deserves the visit, especially if you get the medieval style. the restaurant offers a small menu, with even a full vegetarian menu with local products. good place where the relationship quality/price is present.
in the lasy-shaded courtyard of the castle for a lunch in the restaurant. the menu offers an interesting selection to arrange. the service is very friendly and attentive. the kitchen provides a very good quality at a good value for money. a really enjoyable lunch break.
