Schmuck Kastl is a Austrian Restaurant in a small village outside of Burscheid. The interior is cozy, traditional Austrian decor, coupled with lots of teddybears that are placed almost everywhere in the restaurant.The menu definitely is Austrian inspired, and features dishes on the heavier side. At the prices charged, you expect an upscale version of it or at least something more special than what you would get in other places, where similar food is served. Well, what we got wasn't bad. It lacked a bit of salt here and there. But it wasn't spectacular and too expensive for what it was.The service is friendly, but not overly attentative. And on a busy day there can be quite a wait. 2.5 hours...

If you want to eat something special and cooked for you personally, something exclusive- this is the place! They cook fresh and everything home made!!! Butter was awesome!! Atmosphere is also very very nice and far from standart, i loved it. Maybe a little bit too quiet :) BUT Prices bite... overvaluated, but worth to visit... minimum 30eur pro person for 1dish and drink... must visit to know, what the attitude for clients must be! Real find!

a restaurant with a cooling and comfortable factor. very attentive service, no wonder, generation family operation. gastfreundschaft is literally great here. they always feel like being really welcome. eating, especially with the certain touch for the upscale kitchen, without being overcrowded. the sections are absolutely sufficient. they can see with every fork standing here in the kitchen that has learned his craft. gastronomy

In view of the gastronomic experience of the restaurant, it is regrettable that the atmosphere is distorted by the unfriendly and rude attitude of owners or bosses. The interaction with the staff is a challenge because courtesy and sympathy seem to be no priority. very nice environment, very good quality of eating, small but fine map, given the good value for money. very nice, accommodating service. lovingly decorated gas room, the marble steering noodle as desserts an absolute dream....all in all stars, since more is not possible!

Lovely furnished local. There's something nice to see in every corner. You will receive very friendly and the service is right from the front to the back! A little more expensive but a very high quality when eating. And the self-baked, also tastes really good!

Stylishly decorated restaurant with Austrian flair. Of the 4 courses menus was excellent, price/performance was right for quality. Staff are friendly and accommodating. I can only recommend it, especially for those who appreciate the high quality.

As a native Austrian, I felt like home. The quality of food rust roasts on the photo) is unbeatable and you should definitely try it has fine dining character. Operation is madness!
