31 October 2021, my wife and I had a wonderful day, visited these mysterious, educational medieval and romantic town of meersburg. we had just finished the tour through the burg meersburg and the zeppelin museum. on the way we heard a musician playing German music. this city is full of amazing history. yesterday and today we had great meals in the loewen, the baeren and the viktoria. However, we were very disappointed at the simplest carvings and pommes we had to lunch today in the restaurant to the munz. both server were amazing, helpful and very pleasant. the beer, cola, weinschorle was served with a smile and were what we would expect. delicious and very cold. but the carving was very dry...
After visiting the burg meersburg we have some time to have a quick lunch before we catch our boat to return to Constance. at our arrival I noticed a series of restaurants on the sea promenade, and as they looked promising, we decided to try one of them. restaurant zum munz was usually a random selection, but somehow it looked more attractive to us than the others. because I wasn't ready for a main course, I decided to have a suppe and dessert. the dessert was a simple choice as I identified the “Black Forester” as a black forest cake. but the suppe was harder. my German limited to some often used words, but the suppening on the menu that I could translate did not fire my appetit. only remai...
We had time for lunch before our return boat trip to Konstanz so we decided this restaurant looked more appealing than others we had seen on the way down what would be the wharf were the boats not all concentrated on one end. I ordered...a big beer plus grilled Zander (a local freshwater fish, apparently), while my partner had a soup and cake. They did a good job with both our choices. It wasn't something you dream about but for a place we picked at random it was a good meal and I'd go back if we visited Meersburg again.
we ate here with children and ordered dresses with two species of fish and jaegersteak. we waited for about 20 minutes for the meal. the service of a young lady was nice. no menu in English, but we translated some words into. the menu by google. the grinding time can be evaluated 3 out of 5. the price-performance ratio is bad, as we had much better meal for the money, but probably the big location had to be paid by premium prices.
