Resto Gare - Reserva de mesa

Just went to Resto Gare in Winnipeg (on Des Meurons) and had the best French sandwiches since we were in France! I had a cheese/carmelized onion and apple sandwich that was a slice of heaven! My husband had a ham and egg sandwich and said he had not tasted better anywhere else. (We lived in France for a few months and sampled a lot of different dishes) The staff were so friendly and the owner came and made sure everything was to our liking. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Had a wonderful meal on the patio with friends, it was a Thursday evening and there was a duet playing jazz in the background. From the tourtière, salmon special, the duck confit and the mussels, all four meals were excellent. The Maple Sugar Pie is not to be missed with it's homemade flakey pie crust, creamy filling and the whipped cream topping, an amazing way to end a meal, a real Canadian dessert!! Will be very happy to return to this great restaurant.

After nearly 25 years in Winnipeg we made our first visit to Resto la Gare for our anniversary. Restaurant is an old train station with a passenger car and patio rounding out the seating options - Tons of atmosphere added to by a ban playing out on the patio. Easy reservations, friendly staff, our server Curtis was very efficient and the food was truly fantastic. Highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be returning soon.

My standby restaurant for an important lunch meeting is Resto Gare. I know that my guests will always be well taken care of. There are choices to suit everyone's interest on the large menu, the daily specials are always excellent, and the the service is friendly knowledgeable and professional. Reserva una mesa ahora

Rack of lamb in a bowl in a bed of creamed potato ? This is French cuisine? On the verge of being too cold to eat .Mystery special just so ,so . Service barely adequate. Two couples , both formerly fave restaurant. No more . Used to be good ,now just barely okay .

Cosy and high in colour, set in St Boniface old train station and one of the early 19th century carriages. Serves excellent French cuisine (this is in the city's French quarter), Friendly and efficient service.Must try in Winnipeg.

This was my first visit. The server was wonderful , very friendly. We were seated immediately and given menus. I had to try the French onion soup and it was fabulous. I also had the seafood crepes. Will definitely go back.

The staff was real good the food was good but the owner kept looking over at us as if we were not allowed to have fun. It made us uncomfortable like a bad neighbour would. Reserva una mesa ahora

Went here for date night. Service was excellent and quick, the food was amazing. Great place to go for a nicer night out, lovely décor.

Fantastic chateaubriand ! Fun train ambiance! Great service , wine was affordable,patio looked fun too !
