We were on the A1 traveling between Grindelwald and Zurich and needed a restroom break. The Kisoque de Bavois is a combination gas station, convince store, Burger King restaurant, and another more upscale restaurant. It was very busy and, although the parking lot was rather large, it was nearly full with only a couple of parking spaces available. The building, built on the side of a hill, looked rather small but as soon as we entered we realized that it was multi-level and very large. Windows facing down the side of the mountain gave a superb and beautiful view of the Swiss countryside as you looked at the Jura mountain range in the distance. On the way to France we stopped here quick. We've been here before and knew what to expect. It's a pretty nice located and organised Rest Stop with Restaurant and a BK, Shop, bathrooms and a fantastic view.The restaurant is ok, but prices could be lower. BK is BK, you know what to expect. The bathroom costs...but at least you can use the ticket to get a discount at the shop, so it's not too bad.Pets are allowed in the restaurants, which is a plus.Outside there's lots of parking and also some green areas, in case your pet needs a break as well.When heading to (or through) France, this is always a good option for us, sometimes for a quick bite. Ich persönlich mag diese Autobahnhaltestelle.Das Restaurant ist eine vernünftige Selbstbedienung mit einer guten Auswahl an Speisen und meiner Meinung nach eines der besseren Restaurants auf der Autobahn in der Gegend. Die Mahlzeiten variieren von Salaten bis hin zum Grill und vielen verschiedenen Gerichten. Wenn Sie nicht widerstehen können, hatten sie eine wunderbar aussehende Auswahl an Kuchen und Gebäck.Das Brathähnchen war heute sehr gut und reichlich.Ein Aspekt, den ich an diesem Ort mag, ist, dass der Blick über die Ebene auf die Berge in der Ferne blickt. . . eine Landansicht nicht eine Autobahnansicht. Das ist an sich entspannend.Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen
Bavois has been our regular stop for several years. It's simple, clean, the views from the restaurant are panoramic. There used to be tiny goats right under the windows of the restaurant but they have now gone. The food is good and reasonably priced, toilets are always clean and although you have to pay now, you get a voucher for the same amount back which you can redeem in the restaurant or the shop. Dieser Ort war ein Ofen. Wirklich benötigt zumindest einige Lüfter zur Belüftung. Die Preise im Burger King lassen einen Flughafen- oder Themenparkbesitzer erröten. Angesichts der Tatsache, dass Francs zu Dollars ungefähr gleich sind, waren die Preise dreifach so hoch wie in einem typischen US-Restaurant und immer noch doppelt so hoch wie auf einem Flughafen. Der Service war auch sehr langsam.
Wir waren im Selbstbedienungsrestaurant. Das Essen war ok (Pizza, Spaghetti Napoli . Der Preis war aber für die Qualität und Essensmenge hoch (Pizza 15. pro Stück, Spaghetti knapp 18. , daher nur 2 Sterne. Ausserdem muss die Toilette bezahlt werden. Es gibt damn zwar einen Konsumationsgutschein dafür, aber das ist einfach zmszändlich. Gerade mit Kindern!
Burger King ist halt Burger King. Was uns aber besonders gefreut hat, ist die freundliche Bedienung, die uns zwar zuerst „vergessen“ hat und sich dann aber für dieses Versehen mit Gratiseis für die Kinder, grösseren Portionen von Getränken und Pommes freundlichst entschuldigt hat.
