We used to really enjoy this restaurant and ordered from it frequently, but it seems like they've changed their chef. We tried the calamari salad, tempura, salmon teriyaki, and a California roll, and unfortunately, all of them were disappointments. The calamari was overly oily and tough to chew, while the tempura was also greasy, and the vegetables were sliced so thin that they barely had any flavor beyond the batter. The salmon lacked any taste at all, and the California roll fell apart before we even had a chance to eat it. It's really disappointing.
There are so many wonderful things about Rice Things! For many years they 've been exceptional in customer service, food quality and most importantly COST!!! You can 't get a better deal! Great sushi, great chicken, great beef! Super clean environment and the outside patio is perfect for relaxing while enjoying a great meal. Located conveniently in the 'date-night Center ' of North Redondo.
11-26-21: Came here for my first time for takeout lunch. Ordered three combos for me, my cousin and my niece. My combo included a California roll, chicken teriyaki, and veggie tempura. Everything was good and they give you a lot of food. Service was friendly. Would I come back? Maybe. Not the best Japanese food that I have had. But also, not the worst.
Love this place! Their chicken katsu with a side order of curry is bomb! The side of curry costs $2 and is enough to be shared with another person for it comes in one medium size bowl. Half of the bowl is able to cover the katsu pieces and also some of the rice. Very competitive prices as well for mix and match plates!

A neighborhood institution! I used to come here all the time in high school, and when I came back a month ago they still had the tasty spicy teriyaki chicken, california rolls, and salad combo. They only had limited outdoor seating at the time, though that may have changed since then.
the food was delicious, the service was friendly and the price was reasonable. it was over a decade that I crashed the foot into the requises and I am so glad that I came back after all that time. the quality of food has not changed. still good!

Excellent Chinese chicken salad. The dressing is very good and not overwhelming. The combo plates are all good and will fill you up. The owner and crew are excellent ! I will keep coming back no doubt !

You’ll definitely get your moneys worth eating here. I got the 3 item combo for $16.32. I got sesame chicken, salmon teriyaki and cali rolls. All were delicious. Definitely coming back
Amazing Japanese food for fair prices. The quality and portions are worth every penny. And it's so good I'd carry bags of pennies to pay every time if I had to.
