Richard And Maggie Fish

Just been to Richard and Maggie’s chip shop on Stanton Hill stood outside at 17:25 waiting for it to open thought it opened at 17:00) . Whilst we were waiting a lady came the the door, the owner opened the door at 17:30 and in walks afore mentioned lady straight behind the counter puts her phone purse Keys down and without washing her hands or tying back her hair long ponytail touching her breast) wearing the clothes she was stood outside in with no apron, no gloves, proceeds to serve the chap in front of us. Yes I should have walked out at that point the owner took our order , she only took the money. Imagine my disgust when we get home and this is what they have served as a cheeseburger …

Have been coming for years to get food here, we have tried others but always come back as they are the best. Was shocked to see someone leave them a terrible review but then looked at the reviewers profile and they've pretty much said it for everyone, probably one of those folks who eat it then take it back for a refund. This places isn't shiny new no, but always seen is clean, have never seen poor hygiene here. Mini fish bites are the best!

We have 4 chippys where I live and I would sooner drive 8 miles to this one and back, to get chips so nice that you can eat them with nothing on them or with them which is a rare thing these days, they are always friendly and hard working and place looks spotless and clean. I discovered this place when working in that area, my only complaint is they are based so far away from where I live.

Used to nip here a couple of times a week. They weren't the cheapest in the area, but food OK and local within walking distance. Put prices up before Christmas, than only a few weeks later, prices up again, sorry, but better value at many of the local pubs for grub. Greedy Reserva una mesa ahora

Best chip shop south of the Humber. We’ve been eating fish and chips from here for years and we’ve never had a bad meal. The fish is always great quality and the batter is really tasty. Highly recommended

All I can say is excellent. There were 6 of us and we all had cod and chips.Large portions and lovely cod. Yummy. Service was great. You need to go a long way to find better.

There are only a few good chippies in the Mansfield area...this is one. The queues at 6pm are way out the door. Shuts early as do most around now.

This by far the best fish and chip shop in the area! Fresh tasty food, not greasy, fast friendly service.

Always good service and friendly staff. Always a queue which speaks volumes. We wont go anywhere else
