My daughter and I went to get some ice cream, and we waited patiently for about ten minutes for our order. During that time, three employees were busy attending to another customer who had a dog. Eventually, I had to remind them about our order. I noticed that none of them washed their hands, and unfortunately, there was dog hair in my daughter's ice cream. This is simply unacceptable. They also seemed to get an attitude with her when she said she didn't want anything else. I've always supported local businesses, but I won't be returning to Richman's anymore.
While the ice cream is delicious, it is a bit pricey in comparison to the days of The Dairy King. But, with the higher prices comes bigger portions. Everything you get there is huge, which makes up for the higher prices. The service is good, just not the old mom and pop shop family feeling where the owner remembers your favorite treat from when you were a little girl. But over all, it's a cute little ice cream shop with ALOT to choose from. There is something for everyone.
