Went here on a Saturday morning to get some pastries for breakfast. My friend and I got an apple pie and lunas. Both were delicious. The apple pie was full of delicious, lightly sweetened apple filling. The lunas was on the sweeter end with a sugary, crisp crust-like surface. Highly recommend. The store itself is reminiscent of a late-night donut shop. When you enter, there's a self-serve coffee station with several carafes of coffee and disposable cups for you to pour yourself. Came by on a cold dreary Sunday morning what better way to cheer up than sugar topped carbs?? The conchas here are so good. Crumbly/crisp topping in a beautiful classic pattern, and super soft tender bread on the inside. They're wonderfully light and go down a bit too fast haha. I could easily inhale 2 3 with a cup of coffee. Also got a cinnamon cuernito (generous amount of cinnamon sugar outside and rolled into it) and a Lunas pastry. Both were much more dense and a bit crumbly I also tried their flan, which was a generous cup portion for 2 bucks and change. While strolling by, I discovered this charming Latin pastry shop. My husband was instantly drawn to the chocolate-dipped cookie, which reminded him of his favorite treat from his time living in Hong Kong. I wonder if this is a European creation? The shop also featured a variety of pastries, including Danish and popular options like apple fritters. The cookie I chose was thick and had a semi-soft texture. Prices were quite reasonable—$0.85 for any cookie and around $5 for a generously sized cookie slice. The artwork on the front window is adorable and definitely eye-catching. If you find yourself in downtown San Bruno, it’s a delightful place to stop by.
I loved the place and the vibe there. But, the bread is baked at 5am, and there is no way to heat your bread to eat it warm. I wish they had a toaster or something to serve the bread warm. Other than that, the flavor is really good ??

I found the cakes and cookies at this bakery to be lacking in flavor and a bit overpriced. Unfortunately, this was my second visit, and I was let down once more. I won't be coming back.
The Rosca may be a bit on the expensive side for its 9-inch size, but the flavor is absolutely delightful, boasting a wonderful balance of softness and crunch.
I purchased several of these baked goods without knowing much about them, and I found them all to be absolutely delicious!
Wonderful pastries, I would heartily recommend. Be aware, the lady who was working the counter did not speak English.
