Last Friday, we had an incredible experience celebrating my husband’s birthday. I was a bit anxious about going out with our 4-month-old baby and two other kids, as it was our first outing as a family of five. However, this restaurant turned out to be a fantastic choice! The ambiance was cozy and laid-back, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The food was absolutely delicious! The owner truly went out of their way to make my husband’s birthday extra special. I highly recommend this wonderful place to everyone. We will definitely be returning! Thank you for a wonderful time!
I visited this restaurant yesterday and tried the carne asada, Al pastor tacos, and the Cuban torta. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the tacos. The marinade on the Al pastor was too overpowering, and while the meat was tender, it felt more like stew on my tortillas, which isn't what I'm used to when it comes to Al pastor tacos. The carne tacos were below average as well. As for the torta, I couldn't believe they used hot dogs instead of actual sausages, and they even smelled like they had just come off a corn dog. Overall, I spent $32, and it just wasn't worth it.
I typically wouldn't write a review for this restaurant since their food is usually excellent, but I had a disappointing experience today. The shrimp tacos were served extremely cold. Our server only came to our table to deliver our food, take my dish back for reheating, and then bring the bill. She didn’t check on us at all during our meal. As a result, she received a very low tip. The owner wasn't present, which may have contributed to the overall negative experience. I visited this restaurant to pick up an order for a customer through DoorDash. I only used their restroom, and I was shocked by the poor level of hygiene. After using the restroom, I am now experiencing itching, aches, and overall discomfort. If their hygiene is this poor, I can only imagine how unhealthy and potentially unsafe their food might be. This restaurant is located in a shopping complex just off Route 1, and I probably wouldn't have spotted it without Google Maps. The food was excellent and the wait times were typical. The prices are quite reasonable, especially given the recent increases elsewhere. However, the music was surprisingly loud, even though the place wasn't crowded.
