I am Japanese and had a lot of sashimi from cheap to a bit expensive in japan and learned how to fish sashimi pretreat and cut, so I know exactly the fresh of raw fish. I had 12 pieces of salmon, scallop and oktopus sashimi, karaage teishoku and Japanese green tee genmai cha, which is Japanese green tee with roasted brown rice). I recommend this restaurant because of pretreated fresh sashimi and genuine homemade Japanese karaage. Ordered some sashimi, miso soup, ikura This review only based on the food I ordered and the situation. Sashimi is fresh. but either the scallops or octopus is frozen or just washed recently since there is a bit water left in the plate. Salmon roe taste good and i have no complain about it Japanese Green Tea taste great the only disappointment i have is the Miso soup. It has the greate taste but only have spring onion and the miso inside. I expect it has a tofu or a seaweed rather than just plain soup. So overall its quiet nice thus i gave this score
large cozy Japanese kitchen just a short walk from the hobart cbd, recommended (limited seating, about 30 people max). very friendly staff, spilt bills accepted. great do not (size dishes,) Bento boxes and typical Japanese menu with a good amount of drinks. good for small groups.
