Someone used to make his business money, I thought of myself, and then became a hotel with a restaurant. Parking must be 200 meters from the portal with the heavy door to the entrance hall. Then one stands in the great bourgeois splendour and remembers visits to Villa Hill in Essen. Okay, not as big as the Krupps residence. But even in this house countless rooms it is not so easy to find yourself. Later questions confirmed my guess, a former factory villa was the Villa Westenberge, with the GDR typical past of such houses. Light bourgeois cuisine is offered, but much more demand will probably not be feasible in this area. But also a good bourgeois cuisine can provide joy. Riesling trocken, Lage Gröster Steinberg, Weingut Thürkind. This pleasant Riesling accompanied my main dish. Pork-back Steak Villa Westerberge Deluxe “au vier”, Sous vide boiled pork ridge steak with calfsragout and cheese baked, beans cuffs, pommes and saladbouquet. Endless description on the map, which actually explains everything. Sous vide irritated me and this in combination with another classic of the GDR cuisine, Ragout fin! That happened to the appetizers, so I didn't have to decide. Sattmacherteller, deft, big, thick flavors, the brave white wine did what it was possible to create a bit of counterweight with its fruity acidity. This court might also like it, but only because I was hungry. No more, just an espresso. Two men in service were always very friendly to the place, the ambience sufficient always in gloves during coverage and servicing. Chapeau, you can't see more often! I felt comfortable in the green salon in the evening. Breakfast could also please the next morning. All in all a pleasant stay. Conclusion of my first night in Villa Westerberge: Very pleasant and quiet hotel, something to the distance for Asher's life visitors, but a good offer equal. I'd like to come back if necessary.
