Okay you wake up on vacation and YOU are in need of Coffee and some food would be nice. On the odd occasion you are without your kids, just your wife. Want a a pleasant, quaint, friendly place, well I got you covered. Well not me but the ladies at Rio Coffee Brewery do. We were welcomed with a smile and although they were busy for a Saturday morning (expected) we got our drinks (large lattee with honey and a Med Mocha) rather quickly. I won't let my comments continue to be deleted. As a former employee, I can say that Dave, the owner, is one of the most egotistical and unpleasant people I've ever encountered. Not a day went by without feeling humiliated from being yelled at in front of customers or having to comfort other employees who were subjected to his condescending and miserable attitude. He created a stressful work environment, constantly complaining about everything. When he wasn't complaining, he would drone on about himself. Got there at 12.40 they close at 1 pm in the afternoon. I was hungry and figured they serve until 1pm since it’s such an early close time.. (which is the close time). Was told they are not doing any food. Working in the food industry we close at the actual time and serve food until 9pm which is when we close. Even if guests walk in at 8.55pm. Closing at 1pm in the afternoon you’d think they could make a sandwich in 5/10 minutes and get me out of there at 12.45/50 still 15 min before the actual close time. Rio managed to keep its power on after a major storm knocked it out everywhere else. Despite being very busy, the staff remained kind and efficient. My latte was served hot, and the breakfast burrito was fantastic! This place has definitely climbed up my list of favorite local coffee and breakfast spots.

I had a fantastic coffee experience at this cozy, family-owned coffee shop! It’s far superior to the big-chain options. Even Constellation Energy made a stop here! Dave, any chance we could get an apple pie flavored coffee for fall? Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5
