We were able to position a nearby fan towards us for most of our visit, but sitting at the back of the restaurant with no airflow made little difference. My biggest concern was the working conditions for the servers and hibachi chefs, which seemed unacceptable. With only three chefs working that night, I could understand the wait. Our chef was very nice and did a great job cooking our meal, despite the challenging circumstances. I gave him a generous tip on the spot to show my appreciation. Service was horrible! I haven't been there for a couple of years until last weekend... I won't be going back. Started with shrimp and that was ok. Ordered 2 rolls and they were ok. The tempanyaki short ribs were chewy and tasted and smelled like the meat was bad. The crepes we had ordered for desert were super rubbery and looked like thick flour tortillas and by the time it got to our table the ice cream was almost completely melted like soup. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at this location and for $190.00 and horrible service I will not be returning. Terrible. I visited this restaurant for the first time and immediately noticed that the bench where you wait to be seated was extremely ripped. The interior of the restaurant had a dark decor, old carpet, and outdated booths from the 90s. It was clear that this place had not been renovated since it first opened. The server was not well-informed about the menu, and the food was simply awful. Why would anyone cover mussels or sushi rolls with cheese? It was unappetizing overall. The only thing I enjoyed was the seaweed salad. My entire experience at this restaurant was a 1 out of 10. I would not recommend it.
There has been a combination of unfortunate events leading to a very disappointing experience. The service was very slow. Order was wrong. Beer was warm. The desert was misleading and gross. The desert (ice cream) was served 5 minutes before the silverware to eat it. Ice cream cream soup. Yuck.It’s hot outside and hot inside. Displeased. Hopefully your experience was better than ours.
