me and my partner ordered from here a good few times with orders costing £32-£60 something. we order through just eat and never had a problem, food was nice no complaints on the food but... and this is not just rising sun, as i said we ordered on the just eat app for some reason it changed our address we saw it as it was about to get delivered, we phoned up rising sun to say that it had the wrong address on it, it had already been delivered, we knocked on the address it had meant to have gone to and they said yes they came but we turned it down saying we didn't order it, the lady on the phone at rising sun had said that was right and was delivered to another address, next door. My point here...
We ordered from here yesterday evening via JustEat. Our food was delivered in under 40 mins to our address in Mountsorrel. Fresh, piping hot, just what we wanted. I’ve had better Chinese food, but we definitely didn’t have the negative customer service experience as per the many others reviewing here so don’t let that put you off giving them a go. For what we had, the food and value for money were good and I’d consider ordering again.
Only order from here if you don’t actually want your food! Ordered around 7.15, no food by 9 so called and they said the kitchen hadn’t even started preparing our order! The guy also said he had around 20 other customers to call and cancel, god knows when we would have been contacted if I hadn’t called! Not much of an apology and staff sounded like they were arguing in the background. Will never be using again. Still hungry/ hangry.
Dim sum absolutely tasteless, no seasoning and no idea what the filling was, I ate one and the rest ended up in the bin...Sweet n Sour spare ribs..6 skinny ribs at just under £1 each was a total rip off, 2 had been refried from a previous cooking and the sauce was tasteless day glo orange gloop ?..The spring rolls were both very greasy and one had very little meat in it..I will never order food from there again.

Everyone told me not to use this place but it was the only one delivering and it seemed easier. Disgusting greasy bland food. Luke warm and awful delivery when I complained about delivery I got a shocking response. Almost like dealing with a petulant child taking no responsibility. I won’t be using this again.
This place used to be good. Unfortunately it’s taken a down turn. Crispy beef was unfortunately missing the beef. And that’s just the start of it. I’ll be going to Quorn cottage from now on. I’d have been ok had they dealt with my complaint at all but they just said I was wrong the whole way through.
Very aggressive and rude delivery driver. Shouted at me on the phone. I adked him 3x where he was, but he wouldn’t tell me. Had to call the restaurant. When he did arrive, he told me i was in the wrong place, as if I don’t know my own postcode!! Will not use again. Service: 1
I have 3 takeaways near to me but always choose The Rising Sun from the next village. Good Service really good tasty food at a reasonable price. Cheaper delivered from here than collecting from my local. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
