This is a good local pub. It has a really cool quirky decor, and has loads of events like Morris dancing, theatre, bring-your-own-cheese evenings and folk music, and the location alongside the canal is gorgeous, with both indoor and indoor seating and tables. They always have a good selection of local and international craft beers in cans and bottles, as well as on tap. They have a small menu of traditional and Mexican fare, and on Friday evenings there’s a lot of free food doing the rounds. It’s basic food but okay for the price. Music tends to be classic rock and soul, and is at a low enough volume that you don’t need to shout your conversation. We always pop in when we’re visiting Berkham...

Great pub with a lively atmosphere and enthusiastic staff. We had a wonderful time enjoying the place on a warm summer evening during their beer festival. We sampled all 15 local ales on offer and were very pleased. Highly recommended!

The restaurant features a lovely ambiance with beautiful people and a great location. They have an impressive selection of beers. Additionally, their delicious flower and nachos make for a perfect lunch break by the canal.

The Best Pub In Berkhamsted, staff are great, Jake makes the place. Good service, authentic pub, friendly and enjoyable to visit.
