the albero Verde/Grüner baum is a so-called “Edel” Italian in the city-famous, theremunder suburb gartenstadt with uplifted trips. high prices do not automatically mean very good kitchen, I once again noticed during my visit. under an earlier owner, jürgen klopp had celebrated here with his BVB team the master title, which was then called piazza navona. the current owner edmond myftari renamed it again as decades ago in “Green Tree/Albero Verde”. otherwise you have to look in the direct environment. we went at night and we ordered a vitello tonnato tradizionale (11,90) of entrance and the main dish of the day would be pizza. we didn't pay much attention to the menu and ended up asking, me and my husband, two rustic pizzas (pizze Rustica-Bianche / Focus) that nothing else was than a cheeseless pizza and no sauce. it wasn't what we were waiting for, because we really wanted to taste a good traditional pizza. we were in the albero Verde on the occasion of our high season and had a table for this.The table was very beautifully decorated. as an appetizer we chose three kinds from thunfischtatar, lachstatar and a giant clot. that was a highlight for the palate.As a main dish we chose a dorade in the salt coat with vegetables. the fish in the salt coat are the absolute knaller in the albero verde.As dessert there was lemon sorbet, freshly prepared at the table. the personal is always very attentive. it is as if we were to read our desires from the eyes. An early business dinner found that the restaurant was open from midday through to closing, so even at 5 pm there were 3-4 tables occupied. Staff were very welcoming and gave me a menu in English.Menu had many choices however I went for pizza, could have had sea bass...my colleague had a risotto. Salads on the side. Food superb. Beer good. The place had a good ambiance. The only negative was that it was around 2 miles from city centre and the traffic getting there was not joyful. But I recommend this place.

we were two in the albero verde. the owner led us to the reserved table.As an appetizer we chose vitello tonato. that was one of the best appetizers.As a main dish we chose stone-butt with a nice and warm carving with a low level. that was super delicious.We would be very nicely served and look forward to the next visit.

we stayed at the Italian evening in the restaurant, there was a fantastic 5-course menu (please take the Tuscan wild boar ragout on the map), craft beers from italia, live music, nice guests and an extremely friendly and excellent service. better it is not, thanks for a really big evening!
